Hello Dear Friends,

This note is to remind all of you that on Sunday, Aug 12, from 4-8pm, Linda Alice Dewey, author of "Aaron's Crossing; An Inspiring True Ghost Story", will be presenting a new segment of her unique and fascinating Ghost Walk and Workshop series.

The first hour is a short walk through the woods to the cemetery outside of Glen Arbor, where the "Aaron's Crossing" story began. During this walk, our group is often joined by spirits and angelic beings who are aware that we will be offering assistance to those wishing to cross over. Although unseen, Linda and others in the group will sense the definite presence of these beings. Linda will cover a wealth of information on the afterlife, "crossing over", and paranormal activity with regard to ghosts and earthbound spirits.

Each of Linda's Ghost Workshops is uplifting, inspiring, and fun! They are always guided by Spirit for the most amazing blessing of each person attending. If you are seeking greater understanding of the afterlife, or desiring closure and peace with regard to a deceased loved one, please come to this session and work with Linda. Her intuitive response to the needs of each person in the group creates many heart-healing miracles.
Cost is $40 with pre-registration by Aug. 7. Just call or e-mail to let me know you plan to come. $45 fee after Aug 7.
Weather permitting, be prepared for the field trip to the cemetery. Hoping you will join us for this wonderful event!

Blessings of Light,
Cheri and John

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Aaron's Crossing published by Hampton Roads on September 1, 2006!
By Linda Alice Dewey

You may have heard that something has been in the works for “Aaron’s Crossing,” but we haven’t been ready to announce it until this week. So here goes.

This Friday, on September 1, “Aaron’s Crossing: An INSPIRING True Ghost Story” will be released to bookstores and nationwide by Hampton Roads Publishing, out of Charlottesville, VA.

Through the wonderful advice of an incredible consultant in the book-writing field—D. Patrick Miller of FEARLESS CONSULTING (who also doubled as my editor), I self-published “Aaron’s Crossing”. Patrick had a “hunch” a long time ago that this book would be a hit. But to prove how well-received it would be, we needed to sell thousands, which we did by through Northern Spirit Books, a division of Northern Spirit Creative Productions. I had lots of great help from wonderful friends in running the business, especially from my son Todd, who really ran the business side while I was out signing books.

Through the support of my family and TONS of friends, including YOU, word about “Aaron’s Crossing” spread, I was able to garner signings at major bookstores in the Midwest and wonderful press coverage about Aaron and our amazing story. Patrick helped me all along the way, prompting me whenever I came to a pitfall or had a question on how to proceed in the publishing business. His advice has been sage all along. When I was almost out of books, it was Patrick who had the “hunch” again that Hampton Roads Publishing would like the book. If you have a book you’d like to get published or need help with, I highly recommend Fearless Consulting. You’ll love this guy.

After Hampton Roads picked up the book, I went down to meet everyone and had a marvelous day (New Author Day—and I was the new author!) getting to know them and understand how things would work. Every step of the way has been guilded with terrific interactions with each person at that company. Talk about honesty and integrity—you can really trust them. (At that meeting, they came up with the great idea to add the word “Inspiring” to the book’s subtitle, which now sets it apart beautifully from normal scary ghost stories.) [View related press release from Hampton Roads, Here].

Then something equally huge happened: Barnes and Noble bought thousands of copies. “Aaron’s Crossing” will be featured on the Halloween display at Barnes and Noble stores across the country. How amazing is that? [View related press release from Hampton Roads, Here].

Then I heard from Whitney Halberg, Editor of Foreword This Week, the weekly email update for Foreword Magazine—a top trade rag in the entire publishing industry. Whitney wrote a lead article that came out August 16, announcing to the entire industry that “Aaron’s Crossing Goes Nationwide.” [Link].

So that’s where things stand right now. I continue to work on the Phantom-like musical stage setting of “Aaron’s Crossing.” In addition, as Patrick first said to me, “Of course, it’s got ‘movie’ written all over it,” things are stirring on that front, too. So who knows…

I am also working on another fantastic story about “The Kassel Mission” that occurred September 27, 1944—an incredible air battle involving 300+ men and the healing and reunion that has happened since, due in large part to the efforts of my own father, who is dictating the book (in real life!) to me.

I’ve also begun a new story I’m hearing from the next ghost I helped cross over several years after Aaron gave me his story. This will be coming in a while and I, of course, have NO IDEA what he’s going to tell me at this point. But then, I didn’t know what Aaron would say as I took down his story either.

I want to thank every single one of you—readers, friends, readers who have become friends, supporters for the entire project, my wonderful family, the people at Hampton Roads, everyone in the book and most especially Patrick Miller and Aaron.

- Linda
