"View from a Widow's Window" is a painting commission I did earlier in the year for a friend whose sister had lost her husband the end of last year. One winter day, the sister looked out her window and saw all these cardinals. She took a picture and sent it to Judy, who asked me to paint it. I added the snow, since it had all melted.
